Scratch in the upper jaw : chicken bone
While eating chicken meat a bone of it scratched my upper jaw inside accidentally. This happened three days back. Now my left jaw is swollen. The scratch became sore. Difficulty while eating as it hurts.

Jaw is swollen from inside only or outside also? If is it so get the clinical evaluation done along with intraoral x-ray to decide whether there is an infection in periodontium,

Any traumatic injury inside the oral cavity usually takes 7 to 10 days for healing to get over. You can use anaesthetic ointments like dologel CT for temporary symptomatic relief till that time. Going by the description that you have mentioned it seems that there has been secondary infection on that injury because of which you are having a swelling. The ointment also has antiseptic components and will help in that problem also. Warm saline rinses multiple times in a day can also be beneficial. Regards.
