Hello Doctor, My father (age 59) has been suffering from Sciatica pain(slip disc btw L4-L5) from past 10 years. As Doctors suggested surgery as treatment, they also mentioned it is temporary and has life long implecations(if it doesn't go well). Hence, we didn't go with surgery but went with physiotherapy and medications.
Lately, he is feeling numbness and pain in leg n fingers.
Need suggestions on this whether we should go for surgery or continue physiotherapy/medications?
