Sciatica Nerve pain - Ayurvedic treatmen
My mother is suffering from sciatica nerve pain in left leg since 2 months. She has already undergone allopathic treatment and physiotherapy. But still there is pain, numbness and shock like waves sometimes in leg. How long will it take to get rid of this pain? Is there any other medication required? We are starting ayurvedic medicines like Chandraprabha vati, vatari churna, pidantak oil, trayondshak guggul for the same. Are there any side effects of it? Please help.

Hello I am Dr. Amit Bansal. I am an orthopaedic surgeon. Oil massage is good symptomatic treatement. It will help to relieve  muscle spasm till pain improves by itself. Usually it will take atleast 3-6 months.
Next Steps
it will be better to get an X RAY and MRI LS spine. and visit clinic for examination of patient by orthopaedician.
