Sciatic pain in right leg
It started four weeks back. I picked up a heavy stone while helping a few people. A day after, I woke up with a shooting pain down my right leg, which felt like I was being pinched by needles in my entire leg. After a few days, I went for an MRI scan of my lumbosacral spine, whose report goes as follows:- 1. Intervertebral discs:- All discs are normal in size, height and signal intensity. 2. Under section spinal canal, "At L4-5 diffuse circumferential disc bulging js seen causing mild indentation of lateral recesses. No intraspinal mass seen.". I consulted my Doc on phone due to the lock down and he said me that it is normal and I need not to worry as it is more of a muscle problem. I want to take more opinions of more experienced doctors. Do I have a slipped disc? How long will it take to get back normal? Please help, as I will be joining the Officers Training Academy of Indian Army soon, and I don't want anything bad to happen there. Regards.

I would need to know more about the pain. Do you have significant pain below the knee? Is there any numbness? Where is the worst pain?
Next Steps
I have to see the sagittal and axial images to know for sure if there is nerve root impingement.
Health Tips
Your pain will likely settle in few days to weeks. you would have to take specific medications to get comfortable.
