Convince him for a regular health check up. Might be related to dementia also ( considering age). Needs proper assessment and treatment . Schizophrenia is treatable.

Hi I agree with Dr.Mayuri , They will be resistance for treatment as they lack insight about their illness. You can try SERENACE syrup with a doctor advice and admit him near psychiatric hospital.
