Schizophrenia advice please
Dear doctor,
My mother has schizophrenia( consulted by psychiatrist). Taking risperidone for 6 years.(2 to 3 mg). After taking medicine she becomes normal. After 4 years and 5 years symptoms recurred, when reducing medicine.(to 1mg). haemoglobin, blood sugar, cholesterol and blood pressure are normal. How long it is necessary to take medicine?

Psychiatric medicine should continue life long.U must consult ur psychiatrist every 6months interval. Do not forget to give her medicine.Proper maintaining of Mental health is necessary.
