Hi team I m taking valporate 400 MG and oleanz 5 MG. Can I stop valporate no matter how hard I try I'm not able to stop valporate and if I take ECT sessions can I stop taking valporate forever'. Can taking ECT will help me to gradually stop valporate and discontinue it

Better to take medicine if no side effects. For side effects related issues consult your psychiatrist for better medicine. ECT won't help much. Better to consult your psychiatrist for advice

You can continue to take maintenance ect once per month..and gradually lower dose of valproate. Consult for proper help

ECT will not help, valproate is easy to tapper and stop without help from other forms of treatment

Despite ECT a mood stabiliser would be needed even on long run if the doctor thinks your condition requires a mood stabiliser. If you have problem with valproate it can be changed to another mood stabiliser.
