I have a scalp fold at the back of my head. (Refer attached photo)
I've had this since school but I'm just noticing this now after getting a short haircut. There is no pain or any irritation.
What is the reason for getting this scalp fold?
Is this common? Are there any remedies I should follow?

If it still worrying than do surgery for cosmetics purpose
Certain people have this ..that won't be noticed due to hair.. nothing to worry or panic.. if you really feeling discomfort with that meet a cosmetologist once for further advice.
It is only redundant skin. Will not have any symptoms. No need to worry about it.
If u feel it is cosmetically unappealing it can be surgically remove although the surgery will leave a straight-line scar
