Root canal

Once the doctor says the nerves are removed, why should one have the pain after root canal treatment? Is root canal a complete treatment for dead tooth?

Root canal treatment as said is process where practically nerves are removed and henceforth tooth should be totally asymptomatic.

Rct done perfectly should be painless post operatively.

pain following rct is always not due to improper infection management.

It can also be due to negligence from the dentist point of view.

mere presence of mild pain post rct doesnt always warrant retreatment.

Root canal is pretty much a painless procedure unless the tooth is infected. Post operative discomfort is always tolerable. Post treatment If found to have pain, need to be evaluated. Meet a endodontist for expert opinion and resolutions
