Rct is done under local anaesthesia,
Pain depends upon infection if you keep on lingering treatment pain will definitely increase.

Relax, whole procedure will be painless as it will be carried out under local anaesthesia.
If you postpone RCT because of fear, than tooth may pain more in future.
So, just go ahead with the procedure without second thought.
