Hi.. medications are only temporary solution with which pain reduces. But, cavity activity will be still going on. Better for root canal as a permanent solution.

Don't do any guess works with your health. Go for check up and x rays ( iopa) and go for the treatment adviced. If rct was adviced because of cavity then there will be bigger cavity now pulp of tooth is degenerated so no pain ! But what about lost tooth structure. It will slowly break down and ultimately extraction will be required you may not get the chance to save the tooth. Regards
Hello root canal has to be done ..when infection is acute or just started patient has pain later the pulp gets necrosed or in common words dead but infection is still there and tooth will be getting damaged and one day the tooth might just break..then it becomes difficult to save it..so kindly save your teeth in time and get the root canal done and crown on it so that it lasts in your mouth longer .. nothing is as good as your natural teeth..
