You don't have any problem with peripheral veins. Doppler study of the veins is normal. There is no obstruction to the blood.
You should consult with a General Surgeon and if he also thinks that it is due to infection, he will start appropriate treatment.

It is more common in diabetic patients
You need complete bed rest and parenteral antibiotics and anti inflammatory drugs.
