Right eyelid twitching/flickering
Dear doc,
My right side eyelid has been twitching for the past three weeks and it really has gotten me worried. What might be the cause of the problem? Pls give me a solution. Thanks in advance.

An eyelid twitch is a repetitive involuntary spasm of the eyelid muscle. If it's chronic and uncontrollable it's a sign of benign essential blepharospasm. Very rarely, eyelid spasms are a symptom of a more serious brain or nerve disorder.
Most twitches will resolve on their own without the need for treatment.
Causes:-
Dizziness
Eye irritation
Eyelid strain
Fatigue
Lack of sleep
Physical exertion
Medication side effects
Stress
Use of alcohol tobacco or caffeine
Though exact cause is unknown.
