Since the last two days, the upper eyelid in my left eye has been twitching for few seconds each time. What could be the problem and what treatment should I get?

It is usually due to anxiety that the lid flutters. It may last a few weeks since a layer of involuntary muscle gets irritated due to adrenalin in the system. Control anxiety and use lubricant drops. Put a small piece of cellotape on the lid margin for counter irritation, it works!
Next Steps
Anxiety management and a complete eye check up
