Rheumatoid arthritis
I have a recurring thumb pain in my right hand when used...like using the phone for a longer time or playing cards. Usually it comes and goes quickly...but this time its persistence for more than 16 hr...is it the start of rheumatoid arthritis ?

It can be due to other causes..It can be due to subtle instability at your thumb.. Persistent pain warrants attention and proper evaluation with orthopedic surgeon for clinical diagnosis..
If you do not have stiffness and pain in other joints rheumatoid is doubtful..We can get that checked with some blood tests though..
