Hi doctor, I am a female aged 27 yrs. I have a combination type skin and I would like to include retinol in my skin care routine. Please suggest few affordable retinol based products for improving my dull skin. I have previously used retinol so can I use retinol everyday?

If you have used retinol in past then you can use it regularly now. You need to use moisturizer and sunscreen daily with retinol

Since u have been already using retinol u can continue. Kindly avoid during pregnancy . One of the brands which I like is Sesderma Retiage cream. It’s costly but use a pea size for the full face .

Since you have combination skin and have used retinol before, you can start incorporating it into your routine 2-3 times a week and gradually increase to daily use if your skin tolerates it well. Look for affordable retinol serums or creams with a concentration of around 0.5% to 1%. Ensure the product is paired with moisturizing ingredients like hyaluronic acid or squalane to minimize irritation. Always use sunscreen during the day as retinol can make your skin more sensitive to the sun. If you experience any irritation, reduce the frequency of use. Consult a dermatologist for a personalized skin care plan
