Retinol causes severe dryness and flaking and blacness all around the eyes.its been 3 weeks redness not improved.still feel dryness and tightness over eye.whole area around eyes got blacken

This is retinol-induced irritant contact dermatitis. The skin around the eyes is very thin and sensitive â retinol should never be applied directly around the eyes. Stop retinol immediately. The blackening (post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation) from the irritation will take a few weeks to fade.
Next Steps
Stop retinol now. Apply a gentle fragrance-free moisturiser (like Cetaphil or Vaseline) around the eyes twice daily. A mild hydrocortisone 1% cream for 5â7 days can help reduce redness. Avoid retinol near the eyes in future. Consult me on Practo if no improvement in 2 weeks.
