You have one upper 1st molar tooth missing and the two teeth next to that need root canal treatment (which i am assuming is completed).
If your doctor has told you that a restoration has to be done it means that he will be placing a permanent filling/cement on the tooth. And it won't be painful at all.
But in my opinion , you need to get a 4 unit bridge done i.e 4 crowns on upper teeth. Or 3 unit bridge+ 1 single crown.
And also your lower 2nd molar tooth is decayed due to the position of the wisdom tooth.
So wisdom tooth has to be extracted and tooth next to it has to be treated.

I think u have shared this xray before where you asked about the teeth that needs treatment.
Well your none of your teeth looks RCT treated.
It would be better if you visit your regular dentist and get your doubts cleared.

Good evening sir,
Welcome to practo,
I think your upper right side 4th and 5th teeth might be the Root canal treated teeth( If my assumption is right since u have not attached your post operative xray). The next to your root canal treated teeth is missing.
Next Steps
If u like to replace that teeth too it is better to go for 4 unit bridge starting from 4th teeth to 7th teeth so that u can chew very properly.. But some space is lacking there since that 7th teeth has moved towards 6th teeth space.. so it will be better to do intentional root canal treatment for 7th teeth and go for a 4 unit bridge..
And as u asked restoration will be painful or not.. it ll never be painful.. its just a permanent cement keeping on ur root canal treated teeth removing that temporary cement.
Health Tips
I have also noticed that ur lower right side last teeth(wisdom teeth) is growing in an incorrect position.. That is hitting ur next teeth.. so get consulted with a surgeon for further opinion and management
