I'm a College going Student from Tamil Nadu. Since my school days I've always felt that I day dream too much. My mind simply couldn't focus on one single thing at a time. I'm normally a quiet kid that is because I get lost in my day dreams so much so that I couldn't pay attention to a conversation for more than few minutes. Often I do things spontaneously as if I'm being run by motor not in my control. For the past few days I decided to resist my urge to day dream. Now I'm feeling so restless. I also notice that I talk too much to keep my mind away from day dreaming

Hi .. went through your concerns. Since it is affecting your day to day functioning, it is important that we see a solution.
In your case I would like to rule out a disorder called ADHD. If not, day dreaming at your age is common, confusions are common.
See the line between what we consider normal and abnormal is very thin, individualistic.
It is recommended that you seek a consultation with a Psychiatrist to understand your problem clearly and find remedies .
Next Steps
Consult a Psychiatrist , face to face ,if not possible, online
