"I am currently experiencing pain between my upper left teeth, specifically teeth number 3 and 4. I have been removing food particles from this area using a sharp needle, which seems to have created a small hole or visible defect."
"I recently visited a doctor, and they suggested I use an interdental brush instead of the sharp needle, assuring me that the area would heal on its own. I am quite worried about this situation and would appreciate your advice on what steps to take and how to resolve this. Please help me."

Please stop using sharp objects between your teeth like pins.
Secondly the bone loss/defect in the area is very clearly visible.
Visit to a periodontist they'll evaluate whether it could be relieved by deep scaling and root planning . If not then bone graft is an optiong to fill in the bine defect.
Next Steps

Firstly don't use a sharp object to clean that area you can use interdental brush or dental floss for that. Nextly I advise you to get done a IOPAR of both affected tooth it can be proximal caries which is not clear in OPG. Then the next steps like restoration, rct etc. can be done depending on the condition. So soon visit the dentist and get it done.
Next Steps
Get the IOPAR done.

You can evidently see bone loss in the area where you been using pins and thats where your food gets accumulated, the pins causes more damage to tissues and more infections so its better to use interdental tooth brush to remove the food particles that gets accumulated there, And there is always a chance that you regain the bone level as long as u keep it neat and clean.
Next Steps
I would suggest you to go for a deep sub gingival cleaning of the specific area
Health Tips
use interdental tooth brush whenever necessary and mouthwash to keep it clean
Hello

Do not use any sharp needles to clean the area as you might end up hurting the gums and might cause infection.

I would like to know if there's any filling present in teeth number 3?
Also want to know, if the pain still persists?
If yes, then there are chances of secondary caries.
If not, then as suggested by your dentist, use an interdental tooth brush to clean the area, as the gums and other surrounding vascular tissue areas do have healing properties.
Next Steps
Use an interdental tooth brush and mouth wash.
Health Tips
Don't use that region to eat anything hard, crispy or bony food items, brush gently and regularly.
it should heal very soon.
