But now , brain has started showing fake images to my mind to aggrevate my problem so that i can assure my mind and that thought repeadly pops and i am kind of afraid of that thought like will it pass or not . I know its fake thought and my mind is playing with me . I keep nyself busy but again my mind thinks whether those thoughts are returning or not . Please provide a solution for my concern and clear my doubt about thoughts returning . Will these thoughts fade away permanently or not ?

Hi It is a very common anxiety pattern where intrusive thoughts shift into intrusive images once resistance reduces; it does not mean the problem is getting worse, but that the anxious brain is checking whether the threat still matters. These thoughts and images repeat only because the mind keeps scanning to see if they are gone, and that monitoring itself keeps them active. They don’t fade by force, reassurance, or certainty about never returning; they fade when the brain learns that even if they appear, nothing needs to be done. Over time, with continued non-engagement and proper therapy, their emotional charge drops and they lose importance, even if they occasionally show up. Take therapy.
