You are suffering from PTSD? anxiety symptoms from that incident. Consult a psychiatrist and seek remedy. Good luck.

This sounds like intrusive, repetitive thoughts driven by anxiety/trauma, not a dangerous brain problem. Such thoughts can persist for years but they do NOT cause brain hemorrhage, heart attack, or paralysis. The fact that they reduce when you don’t engage with them is reassuring. With proper treatment (CBT/trauma-focused therapy and, if needed, medication), these thoughts can reduce significantly and you can regain focus and confidence. Please consult a psychiatrist—help is very much possible.
