Reoccurance of colitis
I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis a few years back. Since it was severe at that time I was prescribed steroids for a week. Symptoms stopped and I was prescribed Mesocol 400mg twice a day. I took this tablet for nearly 5 years. I have stopped taking it for the last 2 years. Now I have started experiencing the same symptoms though not very severe. What medication should I take for the symptoms to reduce.

Ulcerative Colitis is known to have remissions and exacerbations . You had a phase of remission. Now it is again flaring up. Since you had to take steroids at one stage it is better to consult a Gastroenterologist in your area so that Steroids can be started again if your condition deteriorates.

Patient's detailed medical history is required. It is recommended to consult a doctor professional through the Practo app or visit a local medical facility for a thorough evaluation. Please keep in mind that detailed medical history is crucial for proper diagnosis and treatment.
