The swelling may take a week to subside properly if you follow the prescription advised to u by your dentist..The precautions should be followed accurately.Avoid hot and spicy food and continue with warm saline rinses.

it is normal to have swelling after surgery.. it will subsides within in 5 to 7 days....
.**please don't press that area with your fingers
**Do ice pack compression
**follow the medication as per instructions without fail
**do luke warm water rinse
**avoid hot and spicy food for one week
**have soft food items
It is normal.
If it doesn't subside in 2-3 days....visit your doctor.
Donot use hot compression.
Apply ice cubes from out.
Drink cold water. Lukewarm salt water gaurgle 3-6 times in a day.
Avoid hot spicy hard food.
If it doesn't subside a antiinflammatory drug will be recommended.
