I was diagnosed with supracondylar comminuted fracture to my right humerus 5 years ago. There are 2 plates and 9 screws in my right arm. I had visited doctor 2 years ago and he suggested me to have the implants removed. I'm planning to remove then now. Can i please get a suggestion?

Usually keeping implants is not a problem specially if they are good quality. But removing becomes tough with Time so it would be ideal to remove after 18 to 24 months when consolidation is good and chances of refractory are less and chances of successful removal are good. So kindly consult with your x rays and other details.
