You are safe. It is better to get a full course of prophylactic vaccination so that you don't have to run for Tetanus Injection in case of a similar situation.

1. Primary Vaccination:A series of three doses is usually given initially for those who have never been vaccinated before. The doses are usually given at 0, 4-8 weeks, and 6-12 months. 2. Booster Doses: After the primary series, booster doses are recommended to maintain immunity. A booster shot is typically given every 10 years. 3. Wound Management: If you sustain a wound that is considered tetanus-prone (e.g., a deep or dirty wound), and it's been more than 5 years since your last TT vaccine, a booster shot might be recommended. 4. Pregnancy:Pregnant women who haven't had a TT vaccine within the past 10 years may receive it during pregnancy to protect both themselves and their newborns. 5. Post-Exposure Prophylaxis: In case of potential exposure to tetanus and if a person's vaccination status is not up to date, a healthcare provider might recommend a TT booster shot along with wound care. 6. Consult a Healthcare Provider:Always consult a doctor for personalized guidance based on your medical history and local vaccination recommendations.
