REGARDING RABBIES EXPOSURE DOG DIED
I have shared earlier my issue here i take care of a dog she was ecactly 92 days old when se died out of nowhere she was absolutely perfect and suddenly she stopped eating and drinking very dull and low almost no energy left in her body and last night at 1 am she died after 30 hours of suffering she scratched an bited me many times some of them caused little blood also out of plah and anger but i did't think much of that earlier but now i am very much worried she has been not vaccinated before i am vaccinated i have taken 5arv doses on feb 2024 as pre exposure than after i have taken only single dose as a booster in december then again i have taken 3 doses in quater of 2025 then i have taken 1 dose in midish 2025 then i have taken 2 booster dose on 20 april 20 days after the puppy born all of them was taken from private medical shop is i am safe if she had rabbies or i am in trouble and i have not washed the wounds and scratches properly for she biten and scratched me pls help🙏🏻🙏🏻

1. As your dog died of unknown disease so Rabies cannot be ruled out.
2. You have taken a lot of vaccination so you have strong immunity. Hence you do not need Rabies Immunoglobulin.
3. As you have received multiple doses of the rabies vaccine, your body likely already has a strong immune memory. However, WHO guidelines stipulate that previously vaccinated individuals bitten by a suspected rabid animal still require a brief, updated course of boosters (usually 2 doses).

However, given the new information â the puppy has now died after 30 hours of sudden illness, was unvaccinated, and had bitten you multiple times causing bleeding â this must be treated as a serious potential exposure and you need to go to a hospital TODAY without any further delay. A young unvaccinated dog dying suddenly with those symptoms (sudden dullness, stopping eating/drinking, rapid death) raises concern and cannot be ruled out without testing. Your vaccination history is an advantage, but blood-drawing bites from an unvaccinated dog that has died need formal post-exposure evaluation at a hospital ARV centre â not a private pharmacy. Wash every bite and scratch wound immediately with soap and water for 15 minutes, then go to the nearest government hospital emergency. They will assess whether booster doses and/or immunoglobulin are needed based on your wound category and vaccination record.

First of all you're a vaccinated person, so don't worry much
However she bit you so first of all clean up those wounds and take 2 boosters, not cause of guidelines it's for your own safety
Guidelines are clear btw, they recommend no vaccination if bite occurs within 3 months of complete vaccination and once completed 2 doses are needed but the guidelines also suggest overtreatment is permissible in rabies undertreatment isn't
So first be assured you're safe second take 2 boosters for complete protection

As you have taken arv in April u might not need it now. But if possible get to know the cause of dog death as dog was not vaccinated.
