Hello!
It is very much NORMAL to feel lesser movements towards Term as there is less space for growing baby, movements are felt more on the side where babies limbs are there ,nearly no movements felt towards the babies back & moreover the fetal movements are not that sharp & intensity is also less towards later months of pregnancy ... you may not perceive them .....but movements are there .
More movements are felt just after taking meal as baby gets glucose
Next Steps
keep counting movements, should be more then 10 in a day .... more
Health Tips
Try to lie on lateral side( preferably left lateral side)
make a note of fetal movements
we call it DFMC ..... should be more then 10 / day
if you still feel lesser movements continuously
report to your Obstetrician. .....NST & usg scan ( biophysical profile ) to be done if required.

At 33 weeks, the womb is no longer a wide ocean—it’s a snug room. Your baby has grown beautifully (2.4 kg is a very good weight), so the type of movements change, even if the baby is still active.
movements may feel less now
• Less space → fewer sharp kicks, more rolling, stretching, pushing
• Baby’s sleep–wake cycles are more established (they can sleep 40–60 minutes)
• Placenta position (especially anterior placenta) can soften sensations
• You may notice movements more when you’re lying quietly, less when busy
• Mild dehydration, fatigue, or stress can temporarily dull perception.
The strength and presence of movements matter more than the number of kicks.
Reactive NST = baby’s nervous system and oxygenation are good
Normal Doppler = placenta is functioning well
Good growth = baby is thriving
So medically, there’s no danger signal right now.
Next Steps
After food, lie on your left side
• Focus for 1 hour
• You should feel at least 10 movements in 2 hours (usually much sooner)
• Movements can be rolls, stretches, swishes—not just kicks
Health Tips
Please don’t ignore these:
• No movements at all for 2 hours despite rest and food
• A sudden, marked reduction compared to your baby’s usual pattern
• Associated symptoms: pain, bleeding, leaking, severe headache, or visual changes
Hello !!
After 32 weeks baby size is more , no enough space for 360 degree movements.
After 32 weeks , fine kicks and sharp movements
Movements intensity will be less ,m but not the count
Next Steps
make sure 9 movements in a day
or 3 movements after each meal
When did u get your last scan done
Keep a count of baby movements after every meal
Or there should be atleast 10 kicks in 12 hours
Repeat scan (biophysical profile)
Next Steps
Get NST done for 20 minutes and repeat NST every 3rd day
At 33 weeks, it is common for baby movements to feel less strong or different because the baby has grown bigger and has less space to move, though movements should still be felt regularly. Since your growth scan, Doppler, and NST are normal, this is reassuring. Sometimes movements feel reduced due to baby’s sleep cycles, your activity level, or placenta position.
However, if you notice a sudden or persistent decrease in movements (less than usual for you), do kick count monitoring and consult your obstetrician or visit the hospital immediately for reassessment.
