Your SGPT rise (79 → 112) is mild–moderate elevation and can be related to medications, especially since you are on multiple drugs simultaneously (polypharmacy)—antidepressants like clomipramine and bupropion, along with finasteride, can contribute, though other causes (fatty liver, alcohol, supplements, viral causes) also need to be ruled out; more importantly, being on 3 antidepressants together is usually not standard unless clearly justified, so you need a rationalization of treatment rather than adding more medicines; do not stop anything अचानक, but consult your psychiatrist to simplify to 1–2 necessary medications, and repeat LFT after adjustment; also get basic liver evaluation (ultrasound, hepatitis screening if needed) and avoid alcohol or unnecessary supplements; in most cases, once medications are optimized, liver enzymes come back to normal.

Rarely people need multiple antidepressants when they do not respond to single one or a combination of 2. If you feel you have not been diagnosed completely you can ask your psychiatrist to have a psychological assessment done to confirm the diagnosis of depressive disorder and it’s various ramifications. When you also have a general medical problem along with psychiatric condition the many drugs used can be checked by the doctors so that medication to medication interactions can be kept at a state so that no serious damage results. Good luck

First of all you are on polytherapy and we can streamline the treatment to decrease the number of drugs by optimising dosage of one or two drugs. Secondly hairfall can be managed by alcohol free non comedogenic preparation of minoxidil which will not cause acne. Also finasteride aggravates depression in few people. Thirdly doses of the antidepressants matters a lot because drug to drug interactions exist between antidepressants which can definitely impact liver as well as have paradoxical effect on your mental health too. Too many antidepressants can cause increase in anxiety, agitation, restlessness, fast heartbeat, high blood pressure, dilated pupils, muscle spasms, tremor, diarrhea, and high fever. So doses matter a lot. For detailed evaluation and management you can contact me on nine eight two six five four five six six zero. We run an integrated clinic with me as Psychiatrist and Dr Nitesh Jain (MD Medicine) as general physician whom you can contact on eight two three three zero two five six two zero)

There are a lot of factors in your case that can be the cause of raised SGPT so all of them has to be weighed in while looking at the report. At the same time more investigations are required to rule out amy other cause before jumping onto any conslusions.

Mild SGPT rise (79 → 112) can occur with multiple drugs, especially combinations like fluoxetine, clomipramine, bupropion, and even others like propranolol or finasteride. Not alarming yet, but needs evaluation. Advice (short): – Repeat LFT in 2–4 weeks – Review/streamline medications (avoid polypharmacy) – Check for other causes (fatty liver, alcohol, supplements) – Consult psychiatrist + physician before stopping anything Most cases are reversible once the cause is addressed.
