Regarding how safe is melatonin
I am 24 year old psychology mphil student by doctor consultant I am consuming 3mg melatonin how safe is this? Long term use past I had anxiety depression issue I used 0.25 mg clonazepam and esctioplazam 5mg by doctor advice I stooped because it may have side effects so consuming 3 mg I was off drug that pysco since 5 months leading normal life but now I am having problem of sleep again past thought are bothering me overthinking 3mg works nice for past months but not working since few day having little stress having break of sleep after 3-4 hrs should increase it to 6mg is that safe dose age 24 bio markers were normal all tested 2 months ago

Melatonin is generally safe for short-term use if taken in normal doses,” which is  between 0.5 mg and 5 mg, but any increase in the dosage should be done under the supervision of your doctor
