Recently i took the 1 st dose of covishield vaccine, my question is there any protection after having 1st dose? Or protection starts after administering 2 nd dose. Will 1st dose of vaccine could protect from covid?. Any severe infection occurs even after 1 st dose? Please guide me

The job of vaccine is to train your body for infection.
It reduces the severity of the illness incase you ever catch covid. IT DOES NOT PROTECT YOU FROM COVID, IT ONLY REDUCES THE SEVERITY OF ILLNESS.
coming to second part of the question. Your immunity builds up within a few days after the first dose itself. The second dose is to remind the body after a certain time interval.
