Hello doctor, What is the reason of neural tube defect in foetus. What are the precaution we need to take to avoid such defects.

Dear parents, It is noted that less intake of folic acid or, folate or B 9 results in neural tube defect. When ever planning pregnancy start taking folic acid tab 5mg once a day.
