My wife is suffering from Hearing loss after her first pregnancy. ENT dr has adviced for STRAPEDECTOMY as he says this is OTOSCLEROSIS. My son is only 1+yrs and it will be difficult to manage him away from his mother during recovery time for her after operation.
I would like to do this operation after a year, when my son is bit grown so he will not depended on his mother soo much.
My worries is will the condition get worse if we wait say for 6mths to 1yr.
How many days recovery time required after operation?
Thanks for advice

If a thorough evaluation has been done & all the technicalities have been considered, including risks the operating ENT specialist would be the best judge to answer this. Having said this, the progression is very slow & an irreversible loss is unlikely in short periods.
So take a balanced decision in consultation with your operating ENT surgeon.
