Recurrent anal fissure
I've been dealing with an anal fissure for the past 1.7 years. It tends to recur every 3 months, always in the 12 o'clock position, and usually appears as a small cut that heals within a week quickly I drink 2-2.5 liters of water daily, my stools are generally soft. Initially, I used Ayurvedic oils daily, and for the past 1 year, and from last 5months I've been applying Cremagel (diltiazem) twice daily and occasionally Smuth cream in the morning. This helped with healing, but the fissure reoccurred again yesterday after I had one loose motion the day before. Like a very small cut. Most of the time, I experience a burning sensation for about 5 min after passing stool. Now its healing like i dont have pain only burning sensation after motion. And my motion is soft always. Could u plz advise on how I can heal this fissure permanently without surgery bcz i dont have pain and the fissure cut also cant be seen. Recommend an ointment for long term use or any fibre supplement?

Medical management of fissure is always temporary, though it gives early relief, but recurrence is common and regular. The only permanent method to get rid of fissure is by surgery.
