Hi doctor, 20 days ago I undergone re-rct(4&5) and crown. Now I don't have pain when I bite or chew. But feeling irritation near gum side, especially end of the crown (inbetween 5&6). Doctor said due pressure of the crown it will happen. He has given turbocort to apply. I am doing salt water rinse along with it. Time being it will give relax, again I feel irritation. Why this happening and suggest any good medicine to get rid of. Thanks for your time.

The irritation maybe due to high points on the cap or due to food lodgement.
Visit dentist to reduce the high points on the cap if any
Or get teeth cleaning done if food lodgement.
Also check if any excess luting cement is causing irritation.
If none of the above problems then get an x ray done.

If your pain is mild and not increasing with time it's not infection ,it's just a pressure pain from slight high point s in the crown,, avoid giving excess force on crown , rct treated tooth requires sometime for healing of the periapical area,, alternatively you can visit the doc and check the high points in crown and he will selectively relive the excess load coming on the crown ,by reducing the high points
The pain might be due to accumulation of food inbetween crown and tooth, or might be due to response of gums due to crown and cementation materials or might be due to ill-fitting crown or might be caries in 6.
