1) Inj Tetanus Toxoid 0.5ml IM single dose at the earliest.
2) Keep the wound clean. While doing dressing you can add povidone iodine cream on the wound to prevent infection.
3) Tab Diclofenac 50 mg to take for pain relief if any.
4). Tab Augmentin 625mg thrice daily after meal for 7 days.
If any other complication arises at any point of time go to the nearest Hospital and take proper consultation.

Wash bite part properly with normal water, apply betadine lotion and go for tetanus injection. After that wait and watch. Symptoms usually occur 3 to 10 days after exposure to an infected rat, but can be delayed as long as 3 weeks. Look for fever, vomiting, headache, muscle pain, joint pain, or rash.
