A single circular rash cannot be reliably diagnosed from the photograph alone.
A non-reactive scrub typhus test, if that is the test performed, does not by itself explain every possible cause of fever and rash.
Viral infections, insect bites, fungal infection and other skin conditions are possible.
Avoid scratching or applying steroid/combination creams without examination.
If fever persists, rash spreads rapidly, or there is breathing difficulty, facial swelling, bleeding or marked weakness, seek medical care promptly.
You may consult me on Practo for assessment of the rash and fever and further management.
Your temperature is currently normal. The rash may be due to an insect bite, skin irritation or a viral illness. A non-reactive scrub typhus test is reassuring
Prescription:
Tab. Paracetamol 500 mg – 1 tab SOS if fever/body ache.
Tab. Cetirizine 10 mg – 1 tab at night × 3 days if itching.
Calamine lotion – apply locally 2–3 times/day.
Health Tips
Keep the area clean and avoid scratching. If fever persists, rash spreads, or you develop breathing difficulty, facial swelling, blisters or severe weakness, consult a doctor promptly.
