Raised alkaline phosphate
I am 33weeks 4days pregnant. Had done my LFT recently were alkaline phosphate is increased value is 167 U/L . This is my second pregnancy. I hd cholestasis of pregnancy in my previous pregnancy. So monthly i go for my LFT and bile acid test. But this month my alkaline phosphate has increased and other parameters are within normal reference range. Does increased Alkaline phosphate indicates that i will be having ICP again?

Alkaline phosphate can be raised in pregnancy. Are you having symptoms of cholestasis like itching. If other parameters normal then do not worry. Keep daily count of fetal movements and get weekly checkup done by gynec.

Alkaline phosphatase is slightly raised in pregnancy. If its severely dearraged then it's abnormal.
