Rabies vaccination
I completed the rabies vaccine course in this January. But today a monkey licked me not bitten or scratch. I would want to know for how long the vaccine will ne effective or I need to go for vaccination again?

Your vaccination will protect you for a minimum of a year. There is no need to worry about anything since vaccination is up to date and no saliva contact on wound or no bite injury.

Wash your hand neatly…can solve your problem…vaccines are effective life long but if bitten again then post bite vaccine has to be taken..

If monkey licks no vaccination required..your body still have antibodies if you got your vaccine in Januarary..so you need not worry..

Sir, If there is no bite or scratch. You need not worry. Wash the area thoroughly. If there is another bite or scratch in next one year. Repetition of vaccine may or may not be done depending on if there was bleeding, actual bite or minor licking etc. So for now you don't have anything to worry about.
Next Steps
After 1yr or 6 months antibody titre(immunity status of your body against rabies) maybe done to know if you need to repeat the vaccine or not.
