Unsure whether I have Rabies or Not
Around 2 months ago (May 13) , I was standing outside when some stray dogs started fighting each other . One of the stray dog paws touched my toe skin. Also there was a minor cut below the toe. (The dog touhed my toe skin not the minor cut ). After this  I sanitized my whole foot with dettol sanitizer. When I searched online I found Rabies could also be spread by nonbite contact . What if the dog was rabid and his paws contain Rabies Virus ? I have no such symptoms of rabies infection but I have constipation and bloating problems since 5-6 days . I have not taken any Rabies Vaccine . Should I take Rabies Vaccine or not ? I have attached a picture below , the big white dot shows where the dog paw touched my foot (also there was a cut under my toe where the dog touched)

Hello everyone, Rabies is a deadly viral disease, so it's important to be aware about it. It's true that Rabies disease can spread without bite. It's the saliva that contains Rabies virus. But the good part is that it can't survive for more than 24hrs outside the living body. In your case, it took place 2 months back. If this dog was actually rabid, he must have died. If the dog is alive, stay calm. Lets take the worst case scenario- dog died due to Rabies. What next-
Next Steps
You have a cut below toe and you suspect it has a live virus on it(due to saliva contaminated paw, touch on open wound). My advice would be to take preventive anti-rabies vaccine course after seeing a human physician. Thereafter, stay calm and relaxed psychologically, for your entire life.
Health Tips
1. If anything like that happens to anyone, simply wash that body part with soap and running water 3-4 times. 2. Preferably use antiseptic soap or one which is used to wash clothes. 3. No need to panic because Rabies virus takes time traveling and spreading through nervous tissue. 4. Anti-rabies vaccination within 24 hours of contact is advised. 5. Keep an eye on the suspected animal for at least 10 days if possible. 6. If the bite is near to the head or face, quickly visit your physician after finishing the above 1st TIP. NOTE- There are many more things to look into Rabies suspected cases both in humans and animals, which your doctor will discuss with you. This disease endorses the 'One Health Concept'. There are >20,000 dog bites per year in India, so be careful. Immediate professional advice is always good instead of doing self medication. Rabies can be easily prevented with proper advice. Thank you.

Rabies can spread by non bite contact, but it needs direct contact between your wound and rabid dog saliva. Virsu spreads from live host to live host. So it needs either bite or contact between your wound and saliva of the affected dog. In your case, that is not their, I believe. Symptoms like bloating and constipation can be due to any other GI tract issues, too. Have you checked the dogs? Are they doing well? These things will help us to know the risk factor. And I don't see any pictures here.

Dogs paw touching your intact skin on your Toe does not cause any Rabies..Rabid Dogs Saliva should enter blood strream immediately other wise Virus will die in environment..SoThe chances are highly unlikely incase your case..for GI symptoms consult a physician,it can be due to some food or water change. There was no pic attached here.

Constipation and bloating may be due to several other reasons. Rabies spreads via a bite or saliva of the dog on an open wound. If you have any doubts on the dog being rabid, kindly observe the same dog for it's behaviour but as you say it was two months ago the dog would have died if it was rabid.
Next Steps
Please get checked with a physician regarding your bloating and constipation. Vaccination against rabies would not be required if there was no bite or licking of actual wound.
