Hi there,
I understand that you're feeling anxious and uncertain about the situation — that's completely natural when it comes to something like potential rabies exposure. It's important not to rely solely on general information.
Next Steps
I’m available for a video consultation on the Practo app, where I can:
1. Assess your wound and exposure details more accurately
2. Advise you on whether rabies post-exposure vaccination (PEP) is necessary
3. Help you avoid unnecessary anxiety or treatment if the risk is truly low
Health Tips
The sooner we speak, the better. Early intervention is key for peace of mind and proper care.
Hello,
Rabies spreads only through saliva or nervous tissue of an infected animal — not from human saliva. The event you described (saliva from a man falling on a mostly healed wound) does not pose a rabies risk. Human-to-human rabies transmission has never been reported this way. You are safe, no rabies treatment is needed.
For reassurance and further guidance, you can connect with me on Practo for consultation.

Please your query is not very clear. It is unlikely that the man had rabies and he has transmitted to you. Clean the wound regularly and keep it covered, till it heals.
