I was bitten by monkey 10 years ago but did not receive vaccination at that time. Is it possible that i can get rabbies now? will i have to go for vaccination now?

Dear sir Rabies is very rare after six months Since ten years have passed.there is no need for vaccination now

Dear Practo user. You got monkey bite 10 YEARS ago. Rabies vaccine is post exposure vaccine. That means after bite you should take vaccine within 24 hrs to form a immunity against rabies. 10 years is long period. Forget about monkey bite.
