Quinoa, oats vs indian staples
We keep hearing about quinoa now... Earlier it was oats which has become a part of our everyday diet.. now it's quinoa.. from a lot of older generation people and a couple of doctors say that it's fine to eat staple food than to eat other food.. one side people ask us to avoid rice and go for millets and on another with keto and paleo we hear differently.. what is good and what is bad for an average healthy indian who sits in front of the computer and works 24x7?

Hi ....thanks for your query.Quinoa is rich in proteins and oats are good source of fiber that's why good for breakfast times but quinoa can be taken with main meals. It's always good to take high fiber low fat diet followed by detox diet. Please ask me directly for customized diet plan for you.

Hello dear The best way is to not follow hear say and various resources of information but to focus on a healthy nutritious staple diet. In regular diet also there are a lot of myths and facts which need to be understood from a certified nutritionist. A well balanced nutritious diet also has to be planned for each individual after a detailed consultation.

what is more important , is balanced diet which includes right amount of all food groups, . we shd not follow only one grain diet, try to add regional grains in your diet rather than packed food. all foods are healthy in right amount & at right time.

Hi I want to tell you natural food which does not have expiry date is healthy for you. You need to just differentiate between a food and product. No food is harmful for you every food has their own health benefits. So the way is you try to include all kind of grains and all kind of pulses, all food sources in your diet by including the variety of recipes in your diet. Don't eat one kind of food daily as that will not provide you a nutrients required by the body. If you need further assistance for a personalized plan that how you can include variety of foods in your diet then you can call or WhatsApp on the number mentioned on my Practo profile. Hello, Firstly for being healthy you need to minimize those 24×7 hrs and start doing exercise. Paleo or keto diet for not formulated in india. This has came from out side. The best suitable foods for Indians are going to be indian foods only.  This doesn't mean that u should not try anything else. Yes in weight maintainance rice plays some role but according to one's body's suitability we can take some amount of rice, which depends on its type, method of preparation, quantity and time of consumption. Diet for each person depends on many factors like height, weight, medical condition, exercise, type work sedentary, heavy worker, moderate worker, food habits, eating pattern etc. So before planning a diet for anyone be it healthy or with any diseases patient we need to know all information.  You need exercise, lifestyle modifications with a balanced nutritious diet which you can follow lifelong.
