There is a small blood cut already on my thumb ..a street dog just simply licked my thumb .is there any risk for rabbies...please answer ..I am worried

Hello greetings.. First take a shot of inj. Tetanus Toxoid Stat.. Nothing will happen.. If a dog bites then only we should consider about Rabies. So no worries. Inj. TT IS MORE ENOUGH.

Yes , risk of rabies  is there if a dog  infected with rabies either bites or lick a open wound because rabies virus is present  in saliva of infected animal. Go to your physician nearby he will give you tetanus and guide for anti rabies vaccine
