Query regarding playing sports
Sorry for bothering you once again Doctor Sir. As I have "few anterior marginal osteophytes arising from L2 & L3 vertebra" in CT Scan and I am asymptomatic. (I think these osteophytes outgrowth is due to my spinal tuberculosis in 2018 in same around L3 spinal vertebra.) I just wanted to ask you that can I play sports like cricket & football? Can I walk and run as usual?

You will be glad to know that, at your age if you do sports activities like cricket, football, swimming etc, there are very high chances that these osteophytes will disappear. Initially you might feel a bit challenging but eventually you will be back to normal. You can tele-consult anytime for detailed discussion about your condition. No need to apologize, I am here to help you. As per your CT scan report, you have anterior marginal osteophytes arising from L2 and L3 vertebra. These osteophytes may cause some restriction of movement, but if you are asymptomatic and not experiencing any pain, then it is generally safe to play sports like cricket and football, and to walk and run as usual. However, it is important to keep in mind that any physical activity can carry some risk of injury, and it is always best to consult with a doctor or physical therapist before starting any new exercise routine. They can assess your specific situation and provide you with personalized advice on how to exercise safely and minimize your risk of injury. Additionally, if you experience any pain or discomfort during or after physical activity, it is important to stop and rest and seek medical attention if necessary.
