Query about MMR vaccine
Hello Doc! My baby is 10 months old. We gave her MR vaccination from the government health centre. We are now confused whether to give MMR vaccine for baby from the private clinic as the only exception here is measles. Primarily, we are giving vaccinations from government side and the vaccines that aren't available here, like influenza, we are getting it from private. Now I am confused whether to get MMR vaccination or not. Please suggest

Yes ,Get your child vaccinated with 1 dose of MMR ,even if you have taken two doses of MR vaccine previously,MMR can be given 4 weeks after the last dose of MR vaccine,and till 5 years of age

You should take MMR vaccine because Mumps disease is not covered by MR vaccine. It is not very costly. Mumps can cause severe problems and outbreaks have occurred recently. Even if you have taken MR, take MMR as per your private pediatrician advise

Please take MMR. It's cheap and gives additional protection against mumps

You have to give MMR vaccine,,, govt. Also realised MR campaign don't satisfied vaccination coverage, in between mumps surge also seen so better to take MMR Vaccine on your own expenses.
