Query about infection risk from cut
I had read about Acanthamoeba infection that it is present almost everywhere and causes GAE which is mostly fatal. I got a puncture wound/cut on my inner part of my foot today via an old wired hanger (metal hanger). Blood came out, not much but little. I applied sanitizer, dettol washed it with soap and water, again applied dettol and sanitizer to the wound or cut as you may call it. I tried to press it and take out as much blood from it.
All of a sudden I have started thinking that can I get acanthamoeba GAE infection as the metal was dirty with dust and fungi that might have grown on the terrace, though it was dry.
I will get another TT shot today.
Since a few years I have become very afraid of these things since I accidentally had read about amoeba infections in humans on internet.

Avoid overthinking.
Apply tt injection.
Just observe the wounds for 7 days. If alright and no symptoms then relax. Do u have any other medical condition?? Like diabetes?

You take Tetanus shot.
Visit nearby clinic and do dressing if required.
