Hello Dr
Mother is having diabetic from last 18 years
She is having thyroid, CKD, sarcoidosis
She is on human actrapid 10-10-8 Lantus 10 units @10pm and Ondero 5 mg and eurepa .5 mg @ Afternoon due to the cost of Ondero 5mg Dr gave Vinglyn 50 mg and also eurepa is stopped.
Please tell whether Ondero or Vinglyn is good.

Vinglyn can be given in ckd patients but dose adjustment may be required based on kidney function. Full dose is 100mg/day. But in case of Ondero no dose reduction is required. Both are DPP4 inhibitors and vinglyn has become cheaper because the patent period is over.
