Qstn for dr arish bali
Hi sir, based on your reply to the previous tailbone pain query, this is how the area looked on 9th June. It was itchy like anything. There is no discharge however. Can this be some kind of infection rather? And shall i take paracetamol for next 2 weeks or for a few days? And also I have attached 2 pictures, one in which the area looks pinkish on 9th june, second one on today. Hope the picture is more clear than the last Please guide me.

Hello sir. Thank you for connecting with Practo. We will definately try to help you. Looks like its a tear. Paracetamol wont be of much use. Dont scratch the area as it might progress. Use mupirocin ointment at the area for now. For further query, please feel free to connect. I will be available. Thank you.

Appears more of a tear You can stop paracetamol and use it only for in case of pain If you can get ointment candid-B you can apply that And if no otc ointment available then for now 1) Don’t scratch 2) cotrimoxazole talc if available 3) if not, the any talc- goal is to keep the area dry
Next Steps
PCM only sos, and consult GP in person when possible for you
