Pushing pressure at 33 weeks
Hi, I have uncomplicated single pregnancy. My expected due date is Aug 22nd. When I walk I feel pushing pressure in lower abdomen. I feel like baby is pushing down but cervix is closed so baby couldn't come out. My next gynecologist consultation is on July 11th. I have only lower abdomen pain more of pelvic pain. Do I need to prepare for labour ?

As long as the cervix is closed the baby can't come out. You should take an adequate amount of rest in lying position so that there is minimum pressure on the cervix and pregnancy continues for another 4 weeks.

This is common as you get closer to your due date, baby’s head starts to descend into the pelvis. You can experience pressure and mild contractions. But mostly these are false pains or braxton hicks. If you feel persistent pressure or pains at increasing frequency or intensity then pls have it checked with your doctor immediately.
